BeFC produce paper biofuel cells, a sustainable & eco-friendly energy solution for low-power electronics.

Our technology is metal-free & plastic-free, using enzymes to convert glucose and oxygen into electricity.

Producing 1 to 2 mW/sqcm (1-10 mWh/sqcm), we can scale the active area of our fuel cells to meet low-power systems which comprise of a MCU, memory, MEMS sensors and wireless transceivers (BLE, Sigfox/LoRaWAN), with prototypes of varying complexity already demonstrated.
